Share Market Closing Bell: The share market is in the best phase in history, Sensex jumped by 1,300 and Nifty by more than 400 points
Share Market Today: There has been a rise in the share market since morning in the trading session of Monday. After the election results on Sunday, there was a rise in the stock market. Since this morning, the shares of Adani Group companies have been trading rapidly. Today Sensex closed with a gain of 1300 points and Nifty with a gain of 400 points.
Today, BSE Sensex jumped 1,383.93 points or 2.05 percent to close at an all-time high of 68,865.12. The index touched a record peak of 68,918.22 intra-day. The barometer recorded the biggest single-day jump since May 20, 2022.
Nifty also rose 418.90 points or 2.07 percent to its all-time high of 20,686.80. On the 50-share benchmark Nifty, 44 shares closed with a gain.
Analysts said the BJP’s clear majority in the state elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh reinforced the positive sentiment built last week following strong macroeconomic data and unabated foreign fund inflows. Apart from this, investors’ sentiments also increased due to crude oil prices remaining below US$ 80 per barrel.
Top gainer and top loser stocks:-
Today the shares of Adani Group companies closed with a rise. Apart from this, ICICI Bank shares led the index with a maximum gain of 4.68 percent and SBI shares of 3.99 percent. At the same time, shares of Larsen & Toubro, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HDFC Bank were also the top gainers.
On the other hand, stocks of Wipro and Tata Motors closed in the red.
Global market situation:-
In Asian markets, the Hang Seng fell 1.10 percent, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.70 percent and China’s Shanghai Composite fell 0.29 percent. European markets were mixed, with Germany’s DAX up 1.10 percent and France’s CAC 40 up 0.05 percent.
London’s FTSE 100 fell 0.67 percent. US markets closed mixed on Friday with the S&P 500 up 0.59 percent.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude fell 0.65 percent to US$78.37 per barrel. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 1,589.61 crore on Friday.
Fall in rupee:-
The rupee closed with a fall of 2 paise against the dollar. In the interbank foreign exchange market today, the local unit opened at 83.28 and touched a low of 83.37 against the greenback. It finally closed at 83.36 (provisional) against the dollar, 3 paise lower than its previous close. On Friday, the rupee closed at 83.33 against the American currency.
