On Wednesday, November 22, the stock market closed in the green for the second consecutive day. Today Sensex closed at 66,023 with a gain of 92 points and Nifty closed at 19,811 with a gain of 28 points. BSE Mid Cap closed 109 points higher at 33,517.
However, today there was a decline in Bank Nifty and BSE Small Cap shares. Bank Nifty fell 239 points and closed at 43,449, while BSE Small Cap fell 251 points and closed at 39,577.
Top gainers and losers of Sensex:-
Shares of Infosys, NTPC, Power Grid, Titan, ITC, Tech Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries and UltraTech Cement were the top gainers.
Whereas shares of IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, JSW Steel, HDFC Bank, and Maruti were the top losers today.
Nifty’s top gainers and losers:-
Shares of BPCL, Cipla, NTPC, Infosys, Power Grid Corp, Apollo Hospital, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, and Titan Company were the top gainers.
Whereas shares of IndusInd Bank, Hindalco, Kotak Mahindra, Adani Port, Adani Enterprises, M&M, JSW Steel, and Coal India were the top losers.
What was the condition of other markets?
Talking about Asian markets, Seoul and Tokyo closed in the green, while Shanghai and Hong Kong closed at lower levels. European markets were mostly trading with gains. US markets closed in negative territory on Tuesday.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude fell 0.46 percent to US$82.07 per barrel. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equity worth Rs 455.59 crore yesterday i.e. on Tuesday.
